FUN, COOL, AMAZING, 2019 Cultural Festival

On Saturday the 23rd of November at Rocket Park our school participated in a Cultural Festival, like what we do every year. Our School groups were: Samoan, Tongan, Cook Island and many more.

This Year I was in the Kapa Haka group and we preformed first. I was also in the Samoan group and me and Pheonix were the Taupou, (The main Dancers). Here are some photos of our day.

RICHIE PATTERSON

Today Richie Patterson came to visit the Kauri team. he talked about his Journey through weightlifting. He had failed a lot of times but he still tried his best, and he won a SILVER Medal in 2010 in the Commonwealth games, Richie had also won a GOLD Medal in the same event. Richie taught us about being Strong and having Respect for others.

    

Dy 3 writing: The Magic Tree

Paragraph 

Cautiously as I walk out of this mysterious Magic tree, I see bones all around me, this tree is the only one standing, there is know one to be found , there is mist all around me and the sun has gone down the moon is bright and I am the only one standing.  The bark had begun to peel away, one piece at a time, all the pieces where starting to come together, they were turning into skeletons I was frightened so I ran back into the portal and I went to another dimension.           

DAY 2 Writing: The Rickety Bridge

Paragraph 

At the break of dawn, the sun rises above the horizon, it creates golden streaks all over the sky. Slowly, the girl tiptoes over to the other side of the rickety bridge, but when she got to the middle of that old bridge, some of the planks start to fall, but this bridge wasn't just any old bridge this bridge was 100 years old it had broken rope, missing planks it was a dangerous bridge. This was the only way out there was o turning back now. She knew she had to to do it, but there was 1 thing she did not know, she did not know that at the other side of the bridge it lead to another dimension... 

DAY 1 Writing: FISH ISLAND

Blindly, as the fish swam towards a dark part of the swamp, his skin starts to peel away. They were really moving. They could see ripples forming in the water below Although his skin started to peel, he was getting a new colour of skin. He was changing from a swamp fish into a Rainbow fish, he was becoming shinier and shinier. Happily he swam to his friends his freinds were so jealous.
